Get Up to Speed with Bike Month!

Charleston Moves uses Bike Month CHS to energize and engage people to ride their bike.

Charleston Moves is a nonprofit organization advocating for enhanced conditions for walking
and riding a bike in Charleston County. Our work hinges on three approaches to creating a safe,
connected and livable environment: advocacy, safety and community.
Bike Month CHS — Upcoming events through the end of May:

May 18: Ride of Silence — Join hundreds of people on bicycles for Charleston’s version of this
global event. The Ride of Silence is a police-escorted rolling moment of silence for those killed
or injured on bicycles. We will gather at Palmetto Brewery at 5:45pm and start the ride promptly
at 6:15pm. Within the hour we will return to the Brewery with an after party celebration with
drink specials and a food truck.
