Kiss the Ground Documentary and Discussion Night

AUG 25: ‘Kiss the Ground’ Documentary & Discussion

From our friends at Charleston Parks Conservancy…

Join the Charleston Parks Conservancy and the Clemson Cooperative Extension for an evening to connect back to the earth on August 25 at the Pearlstine Theatre @ Charleston’s Stage’s West Ashley Theatre Center.

We’re getting back to our roots and digging into ways we can protect our soil, water, and natural resources. An abbreviated version of Kiss the Ground, a documentary focusing on the regenerative agriculture movement, will be viewed with a follow up panel discussion of local and leading agriculture influencers. We’ll discuss the successes and challenges we see and discuss ways we each can help in the process of connecting back to our roots.

The event is free.  Registration is requested.

We would like to thank our esteemed panelists:

  • Chris Burtt – Renewables and Environmental Specialist with Clemson Cooperative Extension; educator in local growing practices
  • Brian Wheat – Agribusiness Consultant with South Carolina Small Business Development Centers (SCSBDC), Adjunct instructor at CofC and Trident Tech, Owner of Common Joy luffa farm
  • Rita Bachman – Owner of Rita’s Roots and horticulturist who assists landowners/homeowners in creating sustainable growing spaces
  • Beatriss Calhoun: Water Resource Agent for Clemson Cooperative Extension and Co-coordinator of the Ashley Cooper Stormwater Education Consortium
