Thanks to PEOPLE PEDAL CHS, a collaboration between Charleston Moves, a Lowcountry nonprofit, and the City of Charleston, a shared vision for a connected bike infrastructure is steadily making progress.
The next priority project involves improvements on Brigade St in downtown Charleston that will include Charleston’s first green + buffered bike lanes .
“This project will set valuable precedent as we advance People Pedal CHS’ various design recommendations to elevate the accessibility, visibility and comfort for all. Huge thanks goes to the City of Charleston’s Traffic & Transportation Department and Design Division, as well as SCDOT and the surrounding neighborhoods, for their leadership, partnership, coordination and shepherding of this important project.”
