Charleston Good Launches New GRASSROOTS GUIDE

Eventually, we will get this pandemic under control and folks in the Lowcountry will be eager to get back out in the world. And based on the importance of community service in our community, we have no doubt that they will be looking for volunteer community service opportunities.

That’s one of the reasons we have launched our new online grassroots directory.

We’ve put ‘Volunteer Opportunities’ front and center as the featured category because we know how important volunteering is to locals and to the many organizations dedicated to making the Charleston area better for all of us.

Which brings us to the second reason for our nonprofit guide. There are lots of lists of local organizations out there but none of them felt comprehensive and many of them seem outdated.

We want folks to know all about the amazing work being done by individuals and organizations in the Charleston area.

We expect the Charleston Good Grassroots Guide to be the definitive resource of its kind in the Lowcountry. With over 500 links already, we are well on our way to achieving that goal.

To really get there, though, we need your help.

We’re asking locals and representatives from local organizations to check out the guide, and help us add any nonprofit or social enterprises that we may have missed. If you are part of an organization, we also invite you to update your listing by providing additional information to your listing.
