Due to a growing community need, CharlestonGOOD now offers fiscal sponsorship services in support of meaningful community projects.
So what exactly is “fiscal sponsorship?”
“Fiscal sponsorship is a formal arrangement in which a 501(c)(3) public charity sponsors a project that may lack exempt status. This alternative to starting your own nonprofit allows you to seek grants and solicit tax-deductible donations under your sponsor’s exempt status.” – the Foundation Center
Our fiscal sponsorship service (Model C/Pre-Approved Grant Relationship) allows local grassroots changemakers to focus on their passions/projects without getting bogged down by launching and managing a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
We don’t need more nonprofits. We need more innovative community leaders. And we need to support them.
