A 2-kilowatt solar array installed at Haut Gap Middle on Johns Island will <\/span>soon become a learning tool for students. Berkeley Electric Cooperative and Santee Cooper collaborated with the Charleston County School District to dedicate their first Green Power Solar School in the county. Santee Cooper and its electric cooperatives have installed Green Power Solar Schools in 28 electric cooperative territories across the state. Along with the 2-kilowatt system, the school also receives a renewable energy curriculum that conforms to state science standards. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
