Romney St. Urban Garden (RUG)<\/a>\u00a0Downtown Charleston, SC<\/p>\n

What: <\/strong><\/p>\n

RUG<\/strong> is an \u2018urban renewal\u2019\u00a0<\/em>project. Youth leaders of New Israel Episcopal Church<\/em> wished to turn this blighted dead end of Romney St. into a green, beautiful, and healthy community space. \u00a0The youth leaders have worked with a mix of community and local businesses and foundations to \u2018revamp\u2019 a dead zone into an attractive and productive urban area. \u00a0This 1\/4 acre empty lot @ the end of Romney St. is owned by New Israel Episcopal\u00a0Church <\/em>& all work has been approved by The City of Charleston Building & Planning Departments.<\/em><\/p>\n
