The film examines the key role played by consumer-led food co-ops during the decades-long debate over profit-driven capitalism vs. locally-controlled economic enterprises.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fD1tfVwE6r8?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p><strong>A Q&amp;A will follow the film featuring:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Weatherly Thomas, third generation owner\/operator of Truluck Farms in Timmonsville. She is also the former Executive Director of the SC Fruit, Vegetable and Specialty Crop Growers Association and SC Association of Farmers Markets.<\/p>\n<p>Wendy Hermance helped PCF <span class=\"text_exposed_show\">coordinate this screening. From 1976-1979 she was one of three paid staff managing the 2500-member Columbia Community Grocery food co-op in Columbia, MO.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Chris Miller urban farmer and owner of Sow Seasonal, LLC is dedicated to developing a business model that addresses food sovereignty and creates a regenerative environment.<\/p>\n<p>George Nelson operates Sweetbay Produce &amp; Nursery, a state-of-the-art, commercial hydroponic farm in Huger, SC.
