At 74-feet long, OverDrive\u2019s Digital Bookmobile dwarfs what most people picture when thinking about a bookmobile.<\/p>\n

This behemoth of a vehicle, housed inside an 18-wheel tractor trailer, will visit the St. Andrew\u2019s Regional Library November 1-2 to help highlight the library\u2019s collection of downloadable materials.<\/p>\n

Traveling as part of a national tour, OverDrive uses the vehicle as an outreach draw to attract visitors and tell them about the company\u2019s and member library\u2019s digital services.<\/p>\n

The Bookmobile has instructional videos and interactive workstations with a gadget gallery with iPhones, Android tablets, BlackBerrys, Nooks, Sony Readers and Kindles. Visitors can test out the latest devices in this high-tech digital library on wheels. <\/p>\n

The OverDrive Digital Bookmobile will be at St. Andrews from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, November 1 and from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, November 2.<\/p>\n

Library staff will be on hand to tell patrons about the library\u2019s growing collection of downloadable materials, show them how to browse our collections and even help them sign up for a library card.<\/p>\n
