<\/a><\/div>\nNORTH CHARLESTON, SC \u2014MeadWestvaco Corporation (NYSE: MWV) has generously provided $5,000 in scholarship money for Metanoia students who participated in the 2012 MWV job shadowing program. The contribution will be used to match funds students have been saving to pay for their college tuition. <\/p>\n
Rashawnna Hawkins, is one of the first students to graduate from Metanoia\u2019s Freedom School, and partake in MWV\u2019s job shadowing program. Rashawnna stated, \u201cAfter job shadowing at MWV I am definitely going to pursue graphic design.\u201d She will be starting Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta on Sept 13th. The matching funds are assisting with her tuition.<\/p>\n
The MWV summer internship program with Metanoia gives four rising seniors an opportunity to shadow MWV employees for two weeks in different areas of the business. Metanoia students have benefited from this partnership in many ways i.e. job shadowing, mentors, and more recently the matched MWV funds for college.<\/p>\n
