Our organic gatherings evolve according to the needs and desires of our participants, but center on supportive conversation, brainstorming, resource-sharing, project development, and collaborative planning and networking.<\/p>\n

Given all that has happened recently in Charleston, we know that it is particularly important for folks to gather and connect with one another in a supportive environment.<\/p>\n

So, bring your passion and purpose to our next gathering and see where our spirits lead us!<\/p>\n

AGENDA<\/strong><\/p>\n

5:00pm – mingle\/network\/tabling
\nIf you have promotional materials for your community work, please bring
\nthem to share, while folks\u00a0are arriving.<\/p>\n

5:30pm – small group share circles
\nThis time is for individuals to take turns talking about their community work
\nand ideas.\u00a0What are your passions, your inspirations, your obstacles, your offers and
\nneeds?<\/p>\n

6:15pm – whole group discussion
\nWhat were some of the issues discussed in small groups? What projects or
\nactions are bubbling up?<\/p>\n

6:45 – small group focus groups
\nPick a group based on your preferred topic of the evening.<\/p>\n

7:30pm – whole group wrap-up\/announcements<\/p>\n

*urban youth and community development<\/p>\n

*homelessness and food access\/justice<\/p>\n

*collaborative community media<\/p>\n

*mini-workshops for grassroots groups<\/p>\n

*community video \/ art projects<\/p>\n

*liberatory education and local education reform<\/p>\n

*collaborative group fundraising events<\/p>\n

*marketing tool for black businesses and social entrepreneurs<\/p>\n

*free stuff-swap event in November<\/p>\n

*voter registration and election campaigns<\/p>\n

*improvements to #goodsharing<\/a> platform (communication, resource sharing,
\ntechnology, etc.)<\/p>\n

*transportation<\/p>\n

Our #Goodsharing Gatherings grew out of the success of our 3-day #Goodsharing Conference\u00a0in April 2015, co-hosted by CharlestonGOOD & Building from the Block Up. Our ongoing goal is to help support one another in our positive community work through resource-sharing, collaboration and meaningful communication.<\/p>\n
