PLAY4HEALTH, a national health education activity program for kids (ages 6-12), is coming to Charleston on August 14, from 8:30\u201311 am.<\/p>\n

The event will be hosted by the RiverDogs players and Play4Health, and participants will receive a free ticket to the RiverDogs game later that day. <\/p>\n

“Play4Health\u2122 is a grassroots chronic disease prevention and wellness program designed to engage and educate kids, their parents and communities about obesity, its link to chronic disease and the importance of leading a healthy, active lifestyle. <\/p>\n

Our educational program combines a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity to \u201cplay\u201d on a Minor League Baseball\u2122 (MiLB\u2122) field through a day of fun fitness activities followed by an MiLB game. Kids are assigned to an activity station focusing on the \u201ctriple play\u201d for prevention and wellness: exercise, nutrition and other healthy behaviors.”<\/p>\n
