<\/span>The African American Studies program at CofC will be screening “Fruitvale Station”<\/b> a film documenting the final day of Oscar Grant’s life before he was fatally shot by a police officer at a BART station. We will use the film as a base for discussions on current events such as the murder of Michael Brown and subsequent protests in Ferguson. <\/span>

We have also compiled a list of resources on our #BlackLivesMatter<\/b> page which we find useful for hosting these types of discussions with students which can be found at: blacklivesmatter-resource-page<\/a><\/b>. If there are articles, books, documentaries, etc. you have find compelling\/useful\/<\/wbr>illuminating, please pass them along. We are happy to add to our list.<\/span>
