Our next workshop will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at St. Andrew’s Gymnasium, 1095 Playground Road, West Ashley<\/p>\n

Taiko drumming is a dynamic Japanese art form which combines percussion, martial arts, movement and spirit.<\/p>\n
In this two-hour workshop we teach basic technique, history and etiquette of Taiko. This workshop is hands on with everyone playing drums and learning an original Taiko Charleston song. It is a mental and physical workout. Participants must be able to handle rigorous physical activity.<\/p>\n

If you sign up by Jan. 5, the cost of the workshop is $20. You can take the workshop as a stand alone class if you just want to try it. For those who want to continue, you can sign up for “Basic Intro to Taiko” which is a 6-week session that meets once a week on Wednesday nights at St. Andrew’s Gymnasium. Separate fees will apply.<\/p>\n
