Join Charleston Upper Peninsula Initiative\u00a0for their\u00a0monthly gathering designed to engage residents, businesses and stakeholders\u00a0living and working in the Charleston Upper Peninsula!<\/span><\/p>\n

Charleston UP Gathering Event<\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\nTuesday, July 12th<\/span><\/span>
\n5:00 – 6:00 PM<\/span><\/span>: Hands-on Workshop
\n6:00 – 7:30 PM<\/span><\/span>: Gathering Event<\/strong><\/p>\n

The theme for the month of July is\u00a0MATERIALS!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Join us\u00a06:00 \u2013 7:30 PM<\/span><\/span> for the Gathering Event\u00a0<\/strong>with food from Cru Catering<\/a>, local beer from Revelry Brewing<\/a>\u00a0and great speakers,\u00a0including\u00a0our sponsor from South State Bank<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Prior to the Gathering Event, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/strong>Perrin Woodworking & Green Heart Project will be conducting a hands-on workshop to teach participants how to\u00a0construct raised beds for your garden! \u00a0A suggested donation of $25 will be appreciated for the workshop;\u00a0the funds will go towards raised beds for schools in the Upper Peninsula.<\/p>\n

Learn more about the guest speakers from the\u00a0local\u00a0businesses\u00a0that contributed\u00a0their materials for the raised beds: Carolina Lumber Sourcing<\/a>, All Seasons Mulch<\/a>, The Workbench,\u00a0Perrin Woodworking<\/a>, Green Heart Project<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kits will also be available for purchase to make your own raised bed at home!<\/p>\n

As always, these events are free and give you the opportunity for outreach, networking, and getting to know our neighbors in the Upper Peninsula, along with some brief updates on projects and engaging activities to\u00a0help shape\u00a0our CharlestonUP!<\/p>\n
