After over a year of once-a-month gatherings, we hosted two #GOODHARING GATHERINGS in August and that really made it possible for a lot more folks to participate.So we\u2019re holding two meetings in September as well!<\/p>\n

Nearly 40 African-American authors and hundreds of book club members and readers will converge at Burke High School for the 1st annual Black Ink: The Charleston African American Book Festival on September 17, 2016. The event is from 1:00 p.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m. and will feature a keynote address from Marcus Amaker, Charleston\u2019s first poet laureate.<\/p>\n
