Understanding Flooding with Resilient America"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"center\"><b>Understanding Flooding with Resilient America<\/b><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.nationalacademies.org\/PGA\/ResilientAmerica\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">ResilientAmerica<\/a>, a part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM)\u00a0works\u00a0with public and private community stakeholders to better understand the risks which exist in that specific community. \u00a0As part of this process they have a pilot community program; Charleston County serves as one of four communities, each with their own set of risks.\u00a0\u00a0Among the highest priority risks for Charleston are natural disasters and environmental issues such as: hurricanes, flooding and storm surge.\u00a0Benefits\u00a0from the program include increasing the communities&#8217;
