As I explore my home city of Charleston and travel to other cities, I document the imprint left by human interactions with one another and with the urban environment. This series was born out of my fascination of and appreciation for the pleasurable chaos cities create. In The Death and Life of Great American Cities, Jane Jacobs summarized urban environments best: &#8216;By its nature, the metropolis provides what otherwise could be given only by traveling; namely, the strange.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>This exhibition will be on display at the Music<\/strong><span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><strong>\u00a0Hall until Friday, October 20th.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><strong>About the Artist<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jared Bramblett is a photographer and civil engineer based in Charleston, SC. He received a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of South Carolina in 2006. As a Civil Engineer, he works with the management of land and infrastructure with a primary focus on stormwater management and sustainability. He\u2019s always been fascinated by the push and pull between us and nature &#8211; how we build upon one another.
