These “isms” often have a debilitating impact on people and neither time nor location tends to buffer their insidious destruction. Some of these “isms” are: Sexism, Classism, Ageism, Consumerism, Ghettoism, Parochialism, Racism, Anti-Intellectualism, Anti-Semitism, Separatism, etcetera. Many of us bear the metaphysical scars of our personal confrontations with these isms. While the mental and emotional scarring can be much more perversely concrete. As artists, we have the tools, passion and spirit to visually convey our insights, perspectives on these ills and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, by creating powerful, inspiring works of art. Works that have universal appeal while balancing the message with aesthetic values. In the face of local, national and global current events, we artists cannot bow down to fear, ignorance, hate, greed and envy- the backbone of negative isms. We stand with all who believe in Freedom, Justice, Equality and Human/Civil Rights for all. We celebrate our humanity and profess that all lives matter.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS:
KTC/Karole Turner Campbell, Arianne King Comer, Natalie Daise, Susanne Frenzel, Laura Gadson (NYC), Gwylene Gallimard/Jean-Marie Mauclet, Alvin B.
