From our friends at Charleston Good…
Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) will be hosting a number of upcoming events “with the purpose of showing how conservation isn’t simply a cause of the ‘white and well-off’ – highlighting the sometimes overlooked contributions, organizations, and issues that are important parts of what conservation and environmentalism is all about.”
The second event is a screening of Mossville: When Great Trees Fall on Feb. 25th @ 6 PM.
“This documentary focuses on a centuries-old community in Louisiana engulfed by industrialization coming to terms with the loss of their ancestral home and one man’s refusal to give up. Afterwards we’ll have a discussion about contamination, industrial pollution, and environmental justice.”
