Now is the Time to Plan for Summer with Y2O!

From our friends at Youth to Ocean…

Summer is approaching and we wanted to let you know about some of the programs Y2O has to offer.  It is our 10th year of getting kids on the water and teaching environmental education. Below are just a few things we have to offer. Come celebrate with us!

Beach Activity May-August up to 30 participants any age

Our best program, we surf, we fish, we learn, we clean-up the beach! No experience or skills necessary.   Our staff of lifeguards are skilled in introducing inexperienced youth to the ocean and teaching how to safely enjoy it safely.  Our naturalist will teach about the barrier island ecosystem and the creatures that call it home.

Kayaking Year round up to 20 participants ages 12 and up

The best way to experience the creeks and waterways of the Lowcountry.  In the cool months, we find solitude and ancient trees in the black water creeks and swamps.  When it warms up, we hit the creeks, rivers, and marshes looking for dolphins and shore birds.

Stand-up Paddle Board (SUP) May-October up to 10 participants ages 12 and up

A fun way to see the marsh and get some exercise.

Crabbing Year round any group size

Crabbing is a huge part of Lowcountry culture.  We go out with our friend Tia who makes a living, and is rather famous for catching crabs!

Environmental Education and Marine Science Year round any group size

We prefer to take youth to the ocean, but with Covid, some groups were not able to travel. We had to start bringing the ocean to youth!  We can now offer hands-on Marine Science and Environmental Education for youth of all ages, brought to your location.  Beware, we are gonna bring sea creatures!

Custom Field Trips

We can customize a field trip to accommodate any group of any size.  We love teaching kids about the environment and getting them on the water.
