From our friends at SC Adopt-a-Stream…
South Carolina Adopt-a-Stream is able to continue growing and reaching members of the public across the state thanks to our dedicated volunteer Trainers! Trainers come from a range of backgrounds including higher education, Clemson Extension, SC DHEC, nonprofit organizations, and more. They bring expertise, passion, and energy to their workshops and are a vital part of the continued success of the program!
We welcome new Trainers annually at our certification gatherings in January and February. Trainers must be certified Volunteers first and have 12 monitoring events worth of experience, be excellent public speakers, and be able to commit to hosting at least 2 workshops per year, monitoring monthly, giving program feedback, and promoting the program.
