When I consider all the crimes Donald Trump has committed since he took office last January, including one and probably two capital crimes, and all the impeachable offences he has committed, and I watch him blithely continuing his crimes and getting away with it, I have to ask: Where\u2019s the outrage?<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a person who should be in prison, probably on death row, but instead he sits in the White House and considers himself to be the King of the United States. He has said as much. He acts as much.<\/p>\n
“I (have) the right to do anything that I want to do,\u201d he once told his Cabinet. \u201cI’m the president of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n
Congress, the Supreme Court, the news media, We the People, everyone, should be screaming to get him out of Washington now, but it isn\u2019t happening. The news media is largely playing down his cruel dictatorship \u2013 e.g. using phrases like \u201ctesting the limits of\u201d instead of calling it what it is: premeditated murder, for example — and MAGA-controlled Washington is going along with him, so he has no reason to change.<\/p>\n
Just begin with the 14 murders we know about that he has committed, first-degree murders according to legal minds. He had evidence \u2013 but no proof — that a speedboat suspected of carrying drugs and 11 terrorists was heading to the United States, so he decided we were under attack, claimed that gave him the right to declare war rules, and that gave him the legal right to kill anyone anywhere, including inside the United States. Which he did, killing eleven men.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s dead wrong on all counts. Only Congress has the power to declare war rules and it had not done so, drug-running is not a capital crime, and by the time Trump gave the order to destroy the boat and kill all its occupants, the boat had turned around and was headed for Venezuela \u2013 not<\/em> the United States.<\/p>\n And then he did it again to another boat, killing three more men. Again, no charges. No proof. No chance for them to defend themselves. No due process. Open and shut case of premeditated murder. But where\u2019s the outrage?<\/p>\n Yet, those murders are just the beginning. He may have committed treason, another crime that can carry the death penalty, when he threatened to use the U.S. military to attack Chicago. Constitutional expert Paul Gowder says that could qualify for treason. Trump didn\u2019t attack Chicago, of course, choosing instead to send troops to a more-receptive Memphis (Republican governor).<\/p>\n And then there are the Epstein files. Trump promised during his campaign that he would release them, but once he learned they name him \u201cmultiple times\u201d he began doing everything in his power to keep them secret.<\/p>\n Essentially, it appears that Trump joined his good friend Jeffrey Epstein in having sex with young girls \u2013 in other words, raping them. Statutory rape is not a capital crime, but it could land him in prison for 20-30 years and probably require him to register as a sex offender when\/if released.<\/p>\n But even if Trump didn\u2019t join Epstein in raping young girls, he knew Epstein was and he didn\u2019t do anything about it. We know that for a fact. Trump admitted as much when he grinningly said, \u201cHe (Epstein) likes them young.\u201d To my mind, aiding and abetting child rape by not reporting it is almost as bad as committing it.<\/p>\n And then, in addition to the crimes, there are all those unconstitutional actions he has taken that demand his impeachment. Lawyers for Free Speech for People<\/a> have prepared a resolution that details 17 impeachable offenses Trump has committed since January. That\u2019s 17 offenses, not to be confused with the number of times he has committed them. He has committed some of the articles a handful of times, and some thousands of times. You can read all 76 pages of the articles at impeachtrumpagain.org<\/a>, but a condensation One. \u201cUnlawful mobilization of military forces against civilian protesters in the United States.\u201d Trump mobilized 2,000 National Guard troops and 700 U.S. Marines into Los Angeles in response to civilian protests that did not qualify as a rebellion or insurrection, and he did so over the governor\u2019s protests.<\/p>\n Two. \u201cIllegally and unconstitutionally kidnapping and imprisoning U.S. residents.\u201d Trump ordered hundreds of people who peacefully live in the United States rounded up, imprisoned under brutal circumstances, and sometimes removed to from the U.S., without any due process and in violation of their rights.<\/p>\n Three. \u201cIllegally and unconstitutionally removing U.S. residents, migrants, and asylum-seekers to foreign prisons.\u201d This refers to the hundreds of brown-skinned people he sent to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador; Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia; the 100 migrants he sent to Panama because their own country would not accept them; the Venezuela men he sent to the El Salvador prison without allowing them due process; and he said he also would send U.S. citizens to that El Salvador prison.<\/p>\n Four. \u201cUnlawfully and unconstitutionally attempting to deport immigrants for peacefully protesting.\u201d Trump ordered the expulsion of people who were permanent residents or lawfully present in this country because they exercised their First Amendment rights.<\/p>\n Five. \u201cUnconstitutionally usurping Congress\u2019s powers.\u201d Trump created the \u201cDepartment of Government Efficiency,\u201d blocked funds that Congress ordered spent, and imposed tariffs on foreign nations \u2013 all unconstitutional acts even though the MAGA-controlled Congress let him get away with them.<\/p>\n
