Why would anyone want an openly evil person \u2013 meaning Donald Trump — to be the United States\u2019 Fuhrer?<\/p>\n
It turns out that there are three definable groups of people who do, and who will follow him no matter what he does. I\u2019ll get to those in a minute but first let\u2019s get to the \u201cevil\u201d part of that sentence. I mean evil literally. Donald Trump is evil. And that is not a judgment. It is an observation.<\/p>\n
The definitions of evil and evil persons come from Dr. M. Scott Peck, the late prominent American psychiatrist who took a deep dive into the study of evil for his classic 1983 book People of the Lie<\/a>. Peck defines evil as \u201cthat which does harm to life or liveliness,\u201d and he defines evil persons as \u201cthose who attack others instead of facing their own failures, and who construct layer upon layer of self-deception in order to avoid the pain of self-examination.\u201d<\/p>\n Peck says evil people are driven by \u201ca deep sense of inferiority and self-hatred that makes them feel inadequate, so they lash out at others in an attempt to feel better about themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n Those words define Trump precisely. How could anyone but an evil person order the murders of more than 135 mostly Venezuelan men because he thinks they were carrying drugs to America — which wasn\u2019t proven, they probably weren\u2019t, and drug running isn\u2019t a capital crime anyway — and then back up his masked goons in America after they murdered at least three innocent American citizens. What else but evil can you see in a person who has been adjudicated guilty of raping a woman and faces the ever-growing evidence that he also raped children. How can it be anything but evil when a person denies food and medicine to millions of needy American children and helpless elderly people, plus allows the cost of medical insurance to skyrocket beyond affordability for millions of other Americans, plus suddenly takes food and medicine away from millions of people around the world while knowing it would kill hundreds of thousands, if not a million, people \u2013 thus far — all so that he can stuff the money saved into his and his billionaire buddies\u2019 pockets? That must make him the most selfish person alive, and the cruelest. And there is so much more. He\u2019s been convicted of 34 felonies and stands credibly charged with at least that many more. He lies endlessly, telling big and small lies, and he endlessly repeats them even after they have been proven beyond any shadow of a doubt to be lies. The Washington Post counted more than 30,000 lies or misstatements he made during his first presidency. At the end he was averaging 19 lies a day, and it has never stopped. All of that is sick. Pure evil.<\/p>\n So, back to the question. Why would anyone want an openly evil person \u2013 meaning Donald Trump — to be the United States\u2019 Fuhrer? And why are so many good, non-evil persons willing to lock themselves to Trump and stay with him to the end, no matter what?<\/p>\n I\u2019ve found three identifiable groups of people who fit that description and answer those questions.<\/p>\n One group is composed of people who actually want to destroy our democracy and replace it with a dictatorship headed by Donald Trump. Trump got to where he is by intently studying and slavishly implementing the instructions on how to become a dictator written by Germany\u2019s Nazi Fuhrer Adolf Hitler and embedded in Project 2025. Well, not much can be done about true believers, except to remind them of what happened to Hitler and his regime, and what the world thinks of them today.<\/p>\n
