IT’S A FACT: Republican Presidents are Less Successful and Far More Corrupt

Here are seven historical reasons to think twice before voting for a Republican, any Republican, to be president of the United States.

One. Over the last 80 years, five of the six presidents with the highest job creation were Democrats.

Two. Over the last 50 years, every Republican president has seen a recession, while only one Democrat has seen one, a mild one the that lasted six months.

Three. Also over the last 50 years, despite holding the presidency for 22 years while Republicans held it for 28 years, stock market returns have been just over 100 percent under Republican presidents and nearly 1,000 percent under Democrats.

Four. Over the last 40 years, every Republican president has created a deficit of at least double the previous record.  Over the same period Democrat presidents, including Biden, have cut the deficit by half or more.

Five. Also over the last 40 years, beginning with 1980, the abortion rate held steady under Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43, fell under Clinton and  Obama, and under anti-abortion Trump they rose for the first time since 1970.

Six. The last three Democratic presidents, including Biden, have seen unemployment cut in half.  The last two Republican presidents saw it effectively double.

Seven.  (I admit this is my personal favorite.) Since the Nixon administration, 338 members of presidential administrations have been indicted on felony charges.  Of those, 335 were Republicans and only three – three! – were Democrats.  Donald Trump is the  first sitting or former American president in history to be charged with a felony, and he’s been charged with 91 of them.

Then there are these related facts:

Ten of the eleven safest states in America are blue or lean blue.  Fifteen of the sixteen  least safest states are red or lean red.

Four of the five states with the highest poverty rates are deep red.  Four of the five states with the lowest poverty rates are blue or lean blue.

The ten states with the best healthcare are blue.  Ten of the bottom eleven are red.

The five states with the best education are blue.  Four of the five states with the worst education are red.

Four of the five states with the highest incarceration rates are red. Four of the five states with the lowest incarceration rates are blue.

The five states with the highest covid death rates were all red, and three of the five with the lowest death rates were blue.

I’ll keep it short today.  Think about it.
