#GOODSHARING TAKES OFF… Ready, Set, Engage!

For those of you who made it out for the #goodsharing conference, we want to thank you for your passionate participation which made the event such a success. We were overwhelmed by the shared chord that was struck among us, and inspired to work even harder to build the collaborations that we all seem to be craving.

For those who couldn’t make it out, we want to thank you for your support getting us to the place where we could imagine and then pull off such a unique event.

We also want to INVITE you to join what clearly is a movement burgeoning around us.

SO, WHAT IS #GOODSHARING ANYWAY?

In our minds (so far) it’s…

a MENTALITY of collaborating with one another, within our issue-silos, and across issues, in order to improve our community service.

a PROCESS of sharing stories, ideas, insights in to obstacles we all face, resources, connections, and encouragement. It is a cooperative process of developing
both tools and community projects.

a MOVEMENT of on-going shared community work. We are building a shared calendar, a #goodsharing Facebook group, and various collaborative projects as part of the infrastructure we intend to use to enhance our work moving forward.

THE INVITATION

You are already involved in this work. We are inviting you to collaborate with us by participating, in whatever way suits you, in our collective efforts to improve our community.

Get to know some of the people who attended the conference and join us as we further this movement

ENGAGE WITH OUR COMMUNITY

  • Use our online community calendar to help us promote each other’s work, and to avoid scheduling conflicts
  • Participate in our online forums to share ideas, perspectives, challenges, and resources
  • Submit your perspectives (guest blogs, editorials, press releases, video clips, etc) to CharlestonGOOD

JOIN A PROJECT WORKING GROUP

  • Participate in the development and execution of collaborative community projects. We’ve already got 10 great ideas on the table. Imagine where we could go with this as our networks start working together cooperatively!

HELP US BUILD THE MOVEMENT

  • Share, Share, Share. If you were at the conference, testify and recruit participants. If you are just joining us, help spread the word by whatever means suits you best.
