Join Charleston County Environmental Management Department’s experts in the horseshoe during MUSC Recycles Day on Thursday, Nov. 7, for a “Backyard Composting” Workshop to learn what can be composted, how to create a simple composting structure, and how to prepare and maintain a practical composting system.
- Scoop some compost to take back to your office plant or for your garden.
- MUSC Recycles Day will host a variety of recycling experts who will come together to share their expertise and their skills. Items made of recycled materials will be on display to see what our bottles can become: from t-shirts to handicapped seats!
- There will be artists and crafters who will bring their recycled creations which will be available for purchase. Our own “Earth Maiden” will be here with her all-natural soaps so come and start shopping for those stocking stuffers!
- Food vendors will serve local and fresh ingredients in compostable containers!
- Come out and celebrate America Recycles Day with us!
