Help Keep Charleston Beautiful – Volunteer Opportunities

What do you do to help keep Charleston beautiful? 

Here are just a few opportunities…
First Day Festival– August 18, 8am-4pm
Liberty Square downtown Charleston
Volunteers are needed to help during this amazing back to school event. At the Festival students and their families receive school supplies; learn about student support services; learn about healthy snacks; and enjoy Festival entertainment, Aquarium tours, & boat rides at no cost to attendees.  Download: Volunteer Form  
Day of Caring– September 13, TBD
Litter Cleanup and beautification projects. Locations TBD. Check Trident United Way’s website for updates
Beach Sweep River Sweep– September 21, 2pm, 
Cosgrove Bridge in West Ashley
A litter Cleanup along Cosgrove Bridge on the West Ashley side. This is a marsh/beach cleanup: click for more info
Charleston Green Fair– September 22, Noon-6 
James Island County Park
The South Carolina Green Fair is supported by a committee of passionate individuals, who believe that by educating both consumers and businesses through the Green Fair Events it is possible to make South Carolina an even finer place to live! Volunteers are needed for a variety of duties, including event set up and break down, staffing Information/Ticket Booths at the festival, the KidZone and Eco-Carnival, Beverage Tent Service and the Green Team.  Volunteers Receive Free Admission, Snacks and Beverages and a Limited Edition Green Fair Team Shirt. Community Cleanups– We work with any group, any size, any time. Litter is a year round issue and we want your help. Individuals can come get free supplies to do their own cleanup or groups can work with us to set up a 2-3 hour event that fits their schedule.
