Charleston’s Hampton Park is a wonderful greenspace on peninsular Charleston with a amazing history.
Over the years, Hampton Park has been plantation, a horse race course, a prisoner of war camp and Civil War cemetery, as well as the location for a trade exposition at the turn of the 20th Century and a zoo until 1975.
