Come join us as we envision and discuss alternative energy, education, economics, health and community-building.
We’ll share ideas, inspire one another to forward progress, help out a little in the community garden and break bread together (potluck style) in this first of what we hope are many meaningful gatherings.
CharlestonGOOD and the Plenty Project, a national movement to build positive change, are partnering to host GOOD & PLENTY 2013 at the Chicora Park Community Garden on June 9 from 3-6pm.
The Plenty Project is coming to Charleston as part of its national “Listening Tour: What Do Americans Value Most?”
“Often, solutions to economic or environmental challenges are left to academia, Washington or corporate leaders to solve. The truth is that people are experts on their own lives, so each impacted community needs to be part of designing relevant and effective solutions.”
In spring and summer of 2013, the Plenty Project will travel through the United States via train and bicycle to connect with a wide cross-section of Americans.
CharlestonGOOD is excited to help for this opportunity to bring people together with a focus on dreams, ideas and possibilities for each other and our community.
It should be an inspiring afternoon and we hope to see you there!
