Jan 30 – Ideas Into Action

Ideas Into Action is a service-oriented civic group that educates and empowers participants, and inspires community service in the process!

Their next gathering will feature the Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network (WREN), which advocates “for effective and beneficial policies that elevate the status of women in our state.”We’ll spend the remaining time on UPDATES and ACTION items.There will also be a SUPPLY DRIVE benefiting CHARLESTON HOPE, a local nonprofit which provides basic necessities for students in low-resourced schools to improve attendance and academic achievement.

Please support their BASIC NEEDS ROOM by bringing school supplies (paper and pencils) and hygiene supplies (shampoo, body wash, deodorant, underwear, socks, combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, and chapstick), and/or make a donation, if that’s easier for you. IDEAS INTO ACTION began after November’s contentious election. Our meetings offer opportunities to gather, get informed, discuss civic engagement and to bridge difficult conversations. Our aim is to channel energy into productive action and to dive into work where we can really make a difference, together.
