Calling all visual artists!
The Charleston Regional Alliance for the Arts has teamed up with ArtPop Street Gallery and Adams Outdoor Advertising for an exciting project that will showcase five local visual artists on billboards throughout the tri-county.
The contest will open for submissions on Jan. 9, and is open to visual artists residing in Charleston, Berkeley, or Dorchester County. Artists must be at least 18 years old, and all submitted works must have been created no earlier than Jan. 1, 2015. The deadline for submissions in March 3, 2017. We encourage any and all style of visual art, from painting to photography to sculptute to textile to anything else you create.
Four winners will be chosen by a panel of art experts. The fifth selection will be a People’s Choice Award, chosen by online vote at www.charlestonartsalliance.org. Artists chosen for ArtPop cannot be chosen again for three years.
