GOOD Cause: Park Circle Films Puts the Community in Cinema

No art passes our conscience in the way film does, and goes directly to our feelings, deep down into the dark rooms of our souls.
– Ingmar Bergman

Park Circle Films is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to “enriching the community through film.”

PCF significantly stretches the range of films available to Lowcountry audiences.

Throughout the year, they feature local, national, and international filmmakers and an eclectic blend of films. In the Fall, their Lowcountry Shorts Festival (which turns 10 this year) is a huge hit. For a look at what’s showing soon, check out their Summer Schedule.

PCF also fosters connections between local filmmakers and investors; actively builds community by collaborating with and supporting local organizations; and educates the public about the process and purpose of filmmaking.

We’re inspired by all that PCF does for the Lowcountry and are proud to feature them as our Cause of the Month.

Film is incredibly democratic and accessible, it’s probably the best option if you actually want to change the world, not just re-decorate it.
