The SHIFA Clinic provides free medical services to hundreds of Lowcountry patients each year.
Below is a long list of easy ways you can support their wonderful work.

IN-KIND & SERVICE DONATIONS LIST
Medical Supplies that are direct patient use and used mostly everyday
a) Gloves ( always in need) both sterile and non sterile
b) Speculums
c) Chucks
d) Drapes
e) Insulin Syringes
f) Glucometers
h)Sanitary pads
Office supplies
a) Yellow  highlighters
b) Pens
c) Binders thick and thin ones
d) Paper
e) Toners
f) Air freshners
g) All purpose cleaner
h) Toilet rolls
i) Stapler pins
j) Small Paper cups for water for patients

Closet
Very gently used western clothes in excellent condition. We do not have that many volunteers to sort out the clothes or wash and iron them so please only clothes that are washed, smelling good, ironed and ready to be hanged on.
Any household items including pots, pans, kitchen stuff or any other household stuff.
Used Kids toys in working condition/ clean stuffed animals
Kids clothes go very fast and always in need of. They go the fastest.
No Shoes please.
Toiletries including shampoo, soaps, toothpaste, tooth brushes,
New underwears ( for children)  in packet and new socks only.
Food Pantry
  • Looking for a large freezer to store meat. Stand alone not rectangle as we do not have that much space. Also frost free as again will be hard to clean with limited volunteers. If anyone is getting rid of their freezer and is in good condition.
  • Heavy duty trolley with wheels to transfer food from pick up truck to clinic. ( there is one in costco which we use currently cost $90 plus tax)
  • Food drive for following items; These are food items that people take and love
Cans; Black beans, chick peas, mixed veg, tomato sauce, pasta sauce, tuna,
Pasta: Rice packets, dried beans, Macaroni , sphagetti.
Eggs, and any fresh produce,  meat.
Snacks: Mostly biscuits, granola bars, chips, Raisins, cheese, yougurt
Vegetable oil
Service donation
Volunteer Physicians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioner
Spanish Translation services
Front desk assistant for any number of hours donated
Delivery of food to families in need of food.
Help with Food pantry stocking and organization
Office cleaning help
