‘GROW PURPOSE‘ PROJECT UPDATES
Impact Investing and Entrepreneurship
GrowPurpose is committed to fostering social entrepreneurship in the Lowcountry.
- For those who don’t know, In Place Impact offers a free community class at the College of Charleston for social entrepreneurs that is a phenomenal opportunity for anyone interested in creating for-profit, business innovations that help address social and environmental issues. grow Purpose was instrumental in connecting diverse community members to this thriving resource.
- Meanwhile, the Coastal Community Foundation has created a 3 million dollar fund to help finance innovation and financially sound social enterprises. Grow Purpose has been working with the Pink House and Destiny Community Cafe to take advantage of this opportunity in support of an inspiring collaborative project in North Charleston.
- Speaking of collaborations, Grow Purpose is also partnering with the Upward Bound program at the College of Charleston to build a Youth Impact Entrepreneur Course for middle and high school students to learn about impact entrepreneurship and build business skills
