From our friends at Carolina Youth Action Project
“The Youth Action Alliance (YAA) is a political education intensive focusing on transformative justice, prison abolition, and popular education for girls, trans youth, and gender nonconforming youth ages 14-21. YAA is made up of three distinct cohorts: Activate, Build, and Transform.
Our 2021 cohorts will meet from mid-February until mid-May of 2021. To prioritize wellness and safety in the time of COVID-19, all of this coming year’s YAA sessions will be entirely virtual and happen via Zoom.
Youth leaders also attend all-cohort Collective Meetings, check-ins with our Wellness Organizer, and youth leader socials throughout their time in the cohort!
All youth leaders receive stipends ($$) for their participation.
Read about each cohort below!”
