Join us as we celebrate the Monarch Butterfly at this dinner event featuring New York Times Bestselling Author, Mary Alice Monroe, and SC Department of Natural Resources Biologist, Billy McCord.
Due to a 97% decline in the numbers of migrating Monarchs over the last 20 years, there is a high concern for the future of this species. The monarch butterfly, once common across the United States, could soon end up on the Endangered Species List. Over a Lowcountry Boil dinner catered by Bowen’s Island Restaurant, you will hear about the Monarch’s extraordinary migration, and learn what you can do to help save this species.
