What a year it has been, y’all!
Because we’re not gathering indoors, we no longer own the GoodHouse. But we’re still going strong, amplifying voices, making connections and supporting our community from a distance.
Among the many highlights of a challenging year, a couple really stand out.
Our board of directors approved a request for fiscal sponsorship from Eastover Community Garden, stretching our impact beyond the Lowcountry, which marks an exciting first.
We also recently partnered with the Berkeley Early Education and Care Collective, and are working with the Cypress Fund to support the BEE Collective’s work “tackling bias in the early education system” and providing meaningful support to parents and caregivers.
Earlier in the year, we became fiscal sponsors for Breath to Blossom, a new charitable organization offering holistic support to survivors of varied forms of intimate abuse. In December we collaboratively hosted a monumentally successful and fun fundraising event, Art For Good which supported emerging artists and B2B. It wouldn’t have been possible without the leadership of one of our other community partners, Mindful Mornings Charleston, which coordinated the event.
We also want to send a shout out to our other fiscal sponsees who have all been putting in the work amidst the ongoing pandemic. Much love to Transformation Yoga, Cultivate, Waves 4 Women, and the Naked Lady Society!
Last but not least, CharlestonGood.com continues to evolve. We’ve gotten great feedback about our new weekly digest format which offers a little something each week for everyone in the grassroots community. And we look forward to finding news ways to better serve our community in 2022…
