Free 4 Kids – Play 4 Health at Riley Park – August 14

PLAY4HEALTH, a national health education activity program for kids (ages 6-12), is coming to Charleston on August 14, from 8:30–11 am.

The event will be hosted by the RiverDogs players and Play4Health, and participants will receive a free ticket to the RiverDogs game later that day.

“Play4Health™ is a grassroots chronic disease prevention and wellness program designed to engage and educate kids, their parents and communities about obesity, its link to chronic disease and the importance of leading a healthy, active lifestyle.

Our educational program combines a once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity to “play” on a Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) field through a day of fun fitness activities followed by an MiLB game. Kids are assigned to an activity station focusing on the “triple play” for prevention and wellness: exercise, nutrition and other healthy behaviors.”
