The City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs presents the upcoming exhibition
The Art of Pinar del Rio
at the City Gallery at Waterfront Park
November 16, 2013 – December 29, 2013
Curated by Charleston-based artist Reynier Llanes, this exhibition includes works by more than a dozen Cuban artists. The artwork, drawn from Llanes’ personal collection, reflects ideas of freedom and expression in Cuba following the Revolution. Although they range in style, the works share a common message of harmony, unity, family and reflect today’s Cuban society.
