Good friend and inspiring local leader, Queen Quet, was recently featured on “The Great American Adaptation Road Trip,” a project highlighting stories of people and places using their wits and resources to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
The authors spent the day discussing issues and learning more about the Gullah Geechee Nation and life in the Lowcountry.
“What we understand, or overstand as I like to say—that’s what others call adapting,”
Queen Quet said. “We call it living.”
