The Voice of Our Own: A Discussion with The Chronicle
Main Library, Saturday, January 16 from 1-3 p.m.
Auditorium
As South Carolina’s leader in black media since its inception in 1971, The Charleston Chronicle newspaper has relayed black progress, tragedy and everything in between from the tri-county area across the nation with the help of the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA). A panel of voices from The Chronicle’s past, present and future will provide insight and answer questions from the public in a rare look into what this small, black-owned entity experienced during its four decades of operation in the Holy City.
