[GOOD CREDIT] PLEASE SHARE:Each summer, Girls Rock Charleston holds a one-week day camp for girls and transgender youth ages 9 to 17. Campers form bands and take instrument classes in guitar, bass, keyboards, or drums and also participate in workshops about topics such as Feminism 101, Local Social Justice History, Self-Defense, Bodies and Consent, and Resistance Through Art & Music. At the end of camp week, bands perform original songs at a live showcase event in front of family, friends, and Charleston community members.
