Morris Island Beach Sweep – April 16 | 8:30 AM – 1 PM
We’re teaming up with the Charleston Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, the Coastal Conservation League, and the South Carolina Aquarium for a cleanup on Morris Island!
We will meet at the Old Coast Guard Station on Folly Beach on Saturday, April 16 at 8:30 AM and clean until about 1 PM. Tideline Tours and Atlantic Breeze are generously donating transportation to and from Morris Island for participants who do not have their own boats.
Space is limited, so volunteers interested in taking part must RSVP by April 10. Follow the below instructions in order to secure your spot.

On the day of the cleanup, volunteers should plan to arrive 20 minutes ahead of their departure time in order to sign a waiver, and expect to spend 3 hours sweeping Morris Island. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and expect to walk at least 1 mile. Bags, gloves, and sweep instructions will be provided.
