What is From Seeds to Shoreline (S2S)?
S2S is the only student-driven salt marsh restoration project in South Carolina. During the school year, students and teachers cultivate and transplant Spartina alterniflora, or smooth cord grass, the dominant plant in South Carolina salt marshes. Through this restoration program, students and teachers learn about the importance of the salt marsh ecosystem.

To participate in the S2S program during the 2015-2016 school year, please register to attend the teacher training that will be held June 24th in Charleston, SC. Details are below:

When: June 24th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Where: SC Department of Natural Resources James Island, SC

Cost: Free
