Welcome to the Carolina Yards Plant Database which contains nearly 300 plants that are suited to growing in South Carolina. Plants were selected with the principles of environmental landscape design in mind. Remember, good landscape design hinges on choosing the right plant for the right place.
The Fall Native Plant Sale
Time for the fall native plant sale! Find a diverse array of native plants for purchase at a nice price including trees, shrubs, perennials, vines and grasses! Volunteers will be on site to help answer questions.
When: September 27 from 9:00AM to Noon; Members can start shopping at 8:30AM

Sale is open to the general public, admission is free!
Plant Highlight: Oakleaf Hydrangea – This shrub looks great in the Fall, Spring and Summer with large interesting leaves & blooms in the Spring. In the fall, the leaves turn colorful shades of orange and red. This shrub is very hardy and tolerant of the hot weather. Oakleaf hydrangea might just be the plant you’ve been looking for in your yard!
