Show Some Love for Our Libraries!

Instead of listing all the reasons I am grateful for our tremendous library system, I’d like to mention just a few and then open it up to the rest of you all to share your thoughts on this essential Charleston community resource.

5 Reasons I love the Charleston County Public Library:

1. The explicit purpose of the library is education
2. The librarians truly enjoy helping patrons
3. The diversity of patrons is heart-warming
4. The collection of materials to borrow is constantly growing, despite budget woes
5. It’s the best place in town to sit indoors and rest for a moment without feeling pressured to buy something
