PLASTIC FREE JULY: BEYOND PLASTIC ECOCHALLENGE 2025

Beyond Plastic Ecochallenge is a one-month challenge that makes reducing plastic in our lives — and transforming the systems around us — fun, motivating, and impactful. This Ecochallenge invites you to create your own personal plan throughout July to help you limit plastic consumption and reduce plastic waste for the health of the planet and those around us.

Beyond Plastic Ecochallenge is completely free and open to everyone to join. You choose your actions, then earn points for completing your actions, engaging your community, and sharing your story. Your points add up to demonstrate your impact, help your team win competitions, and improve your team’s overall ranking for grand prizes.

Create an account and either create your own team or join us in supporting the South Carolina Aquarium Team!

No matter where you are on your sustainability journey, you’ll find meaningful actions in this Ecochallenge — from everyday habits to big-picture change.

JULY 16: WEEDING WEDNESDAY
Colonial Lake Park
5:00-6:30PM followed by drinks at the Blind Tiger (36 Broad Street Charleston, SC 29403)

Charleston Green Drinks is partnering with the Charleston Parks Conservancy to support them in their mission to make Colonial Lake Park weed free AND toxic chemical free. You don’t need to know a single thing about gardening – if you love our parks, just come on out and they’ll show you exactly what weeds top pull and how to pull them. Bring a friend! Snacks, drinks and tools will be provided!

If you can’t make it to Colonial Lake Park but still want to grab drinks after? No problem! Join us at the Blind Tiger around 6:30PM!

AUGUST: FARMERS MARKET MEETUP
TBD

SEPTEMBER 11: GREEN MARKET NIGHT
6-9PM at Commonhouse Aleworks 4831 O’Hear Ave North Charleston, SC 29405

We are thrilled to bring you another Charleston Green Drinks Green Market Night on September 11, 2025. This evening we’ll be showcasing local businesses and vendors who use and support sustainable practices. By making small changes, these folks make a big difference!
