From the Charleston Green Drinks Steering Committee…
Hello all,
Thank you for attending our June Green Drinks event focusing on the theme of water, rainwater harvesting, and pollution. Our cohosts, Charleston Waterkeeper, South Carolina Environmental Law Project, The Sierra Club Robert Lunz Group, Clemson Extension, and the City of Charleston all tabled at the event and shared information on their current projects and ways our community members can get involved.
I want to thank them all again for joining us! Clemson Extension and the City of Charleston also had a drawing to give away a rain barrel and we would like to congratulate Ben Stone on being the lucky winner! Please be sure to visit our cohost’s websites to continue to connect and support these organizations and the ongoing projects that are shaping our community to become more resilient and sustainable for everyone.
We look forward to seeing you all at the next Green Drinks, July 19th at 6pm at Commonhouse Aleworks, where we will be focusing on Plastic Free July, hosted by the South Carolina Aquarium (and others) . Bring your family, friends and dog for a fun community environmental event!
