While Climate Change is a global phenomenon, its localized impacts require community-level action. Many of the most effective Climate Change initiatives are conceived and enacted at the local level. True resilience – the ability to anticipate and withstand all that Climate Change may bring – begins with an informed and engaged community. We welcome your participation in this program, and hope it serves as a model for proactive policy initiatives in communities nationwide.
Progress requires informed and active leaders.
The purpose of this Institute is to reinforce this principle and to emphasize the unique relationship between environmental protection, human health, environmental justice and economic development as an essential part of community development.
There is no cost for this Charleston, SC, Institute.
